In 2004, DeSoto Athletic Club was redefined through a partnership with the Town of Collierville. After taking over operations of the fitness facility inside the Collierville Community Center, DeSoto Athletic Club became DAC (Developing Active Communities).
At the time, the center had recently undergone a $2.9 million renovation and an expansion. Set in H.W. Cox Jr. Park, the centerpiece of Collierville’s park system, DAC Collierville is housed on this 60-acre complex, which features baseball/softball fields, tennis courts, multi-purpose athletic fields, two playgrounds, a walking trail and a picnic pavilion. The 45,000-square foot facility boasts the following:
- Two indoor basketball courts
- Two racquetball courts
- Elevated walking track
- Group fitness studios
- Cardio, free weights and resistance training areas
- Physical therapy suite
- Kidz Klub
